DOSE Botanicals

DOSE Botanicals is a local herbal practice, small-scale botanical farm, and laboratory founded by Jaynaya D. Atkins, a registered Western medical herbalist, researcher, and spagyric practitioner. Drawing upon historical ethnobotany, traditional Western herbal medicine, and laboratory-based spagyric practice, her work explores the enduring relationship between plants, medicine, and the natural world. Working from a seed-to-laboratory model on a one-acre property in Victoria's Central Highlands, Jaynaya cultivates, harvests, and manufactures a diverse range of botanical medicines, extracts, hydrosols, flower essences, and other handcrafted preparations using regenerative growing methods and traditional extraction techniques informed by historical practice. Alongside a limited clinical practice and postgraduate studies in ancient history, Jaynaya is dedicated to botanical education through online courses, lectures, and in-person workshops. Her teaching spans historical ethnobotany, ancient medicine, traditional Western herbalism, hermetic philosophy and practice, and meaningful relationships between people and plants.
