Sahaja Yoga Meditation has a beneficial impact on every aspect of a person’s life – our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual life. By bringing about an inner transformation, the benefits of meditation accrue not only to the individual but also to the society, the nation and ultimately the whole of humanity. Sahaja Yoga Meditation brings about integration of all the traditional spiritual teachings of the world. Since 1970, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, travelled internationally, offering free public lectures and the experience of self-realization to all. She not only enabled people to pass this valuable experience on to others, but taught them the meditation technique necessary to sustain it, known today as Sahaja Yoga. Through the process of Self Realisation, an individual’s Kundalini, which is the mothering and spiritual energy present in all human beings, is awakened. The Kundalini energy rises from the sacrum bone through the spinal column. As a result, the energy centres (or chakras) become energized and nourished. When this energy passes through the brain, we spontaneously achieve mental silence and a higher state of awareness.
