The Australian Skin Cancer Foundation is committed to enhancing skin cancer awareness and early detection through a variety of initiatives.
The foundation provides skin checks and educational resources on skin cancer prevention and early detection.
At the Sydney MindBodySpirit Festival, visitors will have the opportunity to book skin check appointments with the foundation’s professionals.
Each appointment costs $30, with a portion of each fee directly supporting the Australian Skin Cancer Foundation.
This initiative not only facilitates access to vital skin cancer screenings but also contributes to the foundation’s ongoing advocacy and educational programs.

The Australian Skin Cancer Foundation was established in December 2021 with a modest beginning: a marquee, a few teardrop flags, three board members, and several volunteers at Bondi Beach, accompanied by a wealth of ideas.
The foundation was created in response to the critical need for support and advocacy for skin cancer patients across Australia.
Recognising Australia’s high incidence of melanoma, which it shares with New Zealand, and the cultural tendency towards sun tanning, the foundation aimed to effect a cultural shift.
Their mission is underpinned by four core pillars: Advocacy, Education, Research, and Support.
