Watermelon and mint are both very refreshing when juiced making them a perfect pairing on a hot summer\u2019s day.<\/p>\n<p>Summer and early autumn are the best seasons for this juice to be enjoyed.<\/p>\n<p>Watermelon is good for your \u201cmelon\u201d or your brain as it is 93% water which helps to hydrate the brain. Peppermint is also great for brain function making this juice a powerful drink for mental exhaustion.<\/p>\n<p>Watermelon also cools the body, cleanses the kidneys and has been shown to purify the skin, promote shiny hair and strong nails.<\/p>\n<p>Watermelon has a high level of lycopene,\u00a0the bright red carotene that is a powerful antioxidant to neutralise free radicals. It is also high in citrulline and arginine, amino acids that may help lower the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, and may also help in preventing prostate cancer.<\/p>\n<p>The 93% water content is full of electrolytes that help keep you hydrated and can help with muscle soreness after exercise.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>\u2605 \u00bc Watermelon (1.7kg)<br \/>\n\u2605 \u00bd bunch Mint (5g) <em>Wash the mint in cold water before use.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Method<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>\u2605 Thinly slice the outer green skin leaving most of the white flesh intact<br \/>\n\u2605 Cut the melon in long slices about two finger width<br \/>\n\u2605 Cut the slices into long strips about three finger width<br \/>\n\u2605 remove the mint leaves from the woody stems<br \/>\n\u2605 Close the cap on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kuvings.com.au\/cold-press-juicers\/\">cold-pressed juicer<\/a><br \/>\n\u2605 First drop the mint leaves in to coat the inside of the strainer.<br \/>\n\u2605 Second, drop the watermelon strips in one at a time and juice until the bowl is almost full. This mixes the juice well with the mint.<br \/>\n\u2605 Release the cap.
